Camden's Summer

The summer flew by so quickly and we were able to do some fun things with Camden...

I came across this picture and just had to include it. It was Camden in the summer of 2010, just one year ago...what a difference a year makes!

We haven't started potty training yet, but did start introducing him to his little seat and step stool, ans of course the toilet.

I can't even remember why Ryan got me these flowers! He spoils me and always manages to make me feel special.

We went to a movie in the park with some friends. This is Logan and Camden hanging out and staring at each other.

We attended a Teddy Bear Picnic at our local library.

I bought Camden a special little Pooh bear for it.

Playing with the instruments along with the music...or staring off into space?

Camden made a little friend at the library, Brandon.

We also headed to the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach, Camden enjoyed the trolley ride!

Hanging out on the artsy looking bus stop bench...only in Laguna Beach is a bus stop so cool looking!

We also made it to the OC Fair in Costa Mesa...Camden loved feeding all the animals! He was so gentle and loving with them, it made me so proud.

He really enjoyed the goats and all their antics!

Checking out the beautiful hens and roosters with Ryan

Taking a stroll through the garden area of the fair, much less crowded than the rest of it!

My sweet baby found a flower...

Watching a pretty peacock pacing in his pen...say that 10 times fast?

June Fun at Disneyland!

Early in June the Handshoes came down south for a visit and a fun-filled day at Disneyland. It was so fun to watch Camden and Ivy wait in line and go on rides. Camden had a blast!

Camden's first ride was Small World...he loved it! The ride was closed when we came for his 1st birthday so this was extra special.

A duck encounter on the way back to Fantasyland

Riding the Casey Jr. train...

Margaret and me

Camden started dancing to the music playing in the train car, it was so cute to watch him enjoying the ride!

While at lunch we ran into some other friends, among them, Emi...always ready to strike a pose! She and her little buddles got bibbety-boppety-booed up to look like the litte princesses that they are.

Lexie & Miya

And last but not least, Kaila! Camden was pretty taken with her this time! And Ryan and I are always taken with this sweet baby!

Waiting for the Tiki Room, Ivy was a laugh a minute and Camden was trying to keep up with this spunky little girl!

In Bug's Land waiting for the caterpillar ride

This pic makes me laugh, he looks like such a little schmoo here and still isn't quite sure what this whole ride thing is all about, but is just going along with it.

Ivy is very affectionate! Heehee! I love how she is attacking Camden with a big hug!

A little playtime on the grass with Kayli and Auntie Candi...pretty sure Camden just got done showing them his tummy

Saying goodbye to Auntie Margaret, who just happens to be perfectly coordinated with Camden! We never like saying goodbye to the Handshoes, but always look forward to seeing them again.

Mommy's & Daddy's Day...Round 2

My second Mother's Day with Camden was just as wonderful as the first, if not more so. As this little guy grows and grows I just fall more and more in love with who he is becoming. I am never forgetful of the fact that we are so fortunate to have a child in our lives. He brings so much wonder and joy to our day, we could not imagine life without him and can hardly believe we ever existed before him.

beautiful flwoers from my ever-thoughtful hubby, accented with Camden's Boy's Day carp

One of our favorite brunch spots to go with my mom, Taps in Brea...yum!

Me and my mom!

Life with Camden now move spretty fast and it can be hard to keep up. Father's Day came pretty quickly after Mother's Day so I am doing this all in one post. Ryan has been an amazing father to Camden. For someone who was nervous about being a "good enough" role model for our son, he has certainly stepped up to the task and excelled. Camden could not ask for a more loving, involved dad than Ryan. Nothing makes me happier than watching these two together.

Waiting patiently for breakfast at Daddy's favorite...the Pancake House in Yorba Linda

Waiting for the food and getting some cuddles in!

Mmmm! Everyone loves pancakes!

Daddy's gifts from Camden and I

Camden got pretty excited when Ryan opened his gifts!

All in all, a couple of wonderful days to celebrate that have quickly become favorites for us!

Happy Easter!

Camden received this little duck that laughs when you tickle it from his Grammy & Pop in Arizona...he's checking out the hair

I left out the crying pics, he was terrified of this cute little duck once it started "laughing". Within a few minutes he calmed down and gave the duck a second chance. It is now one of his favorite toys.

We went up north for Easter weekend to spend with our friends, the Handshoes. We were able to attend Ivy's second birthday party and before heading back down south Easter morning, we did an Easter egg hunt for the tots.

Camden's silly mug...heehee!

Checking out his Elmo eggs! Ivy got Hello Kitty eggs...

Ivy and Camden searching for their eggs...the Handshoe's gorgeous yard was the perfect setting for his very first egg hunt. And of course, Ivy was the perfect playmate!

Checking out what's in Camden's basket!

When we got home, it was clear the Easter Bunny had made a stop at our house

Our little Easter boy, ignoring his Easter goodies and playing with the blinds! Such a toddler!
